Rob's Photoshoots

"Little Ashes" and "Adventureland" open on same day!

Here's the latest buzz on Regent Releasing's "Little Ashes," Robert Pattinson's new film that opens March 27.
Coincidentally, that's the same day his "Twilight" costar Kristen Stewart's new indie comedy, "Adventureland," opens. Which movie will you go see first? I think I can guess.
But this really is movie-marketing crossover genius. Now the "Twilight" stars can promote both their new films AND their new joint movie, "New Moon," which they will be shooting.

Robert Pattinson Channels Artist Salvador Dalí

Twilight star Robert Pattinson can't always play a vampire heartthrob.

In his next movie, Little Ashes, set in 1922 and described by Variety as an "arty Bohemian romp," the London-born actor, 22, plays Spanish surrealist painter (1904-1989) Salvador Dalí as a young man – in love with the poet Federico GarcÍa Lorca, played by Javier Beltran.

The two meet at university, with Lorca attracted to what the movie's production notes call Dalí's "bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism." Hey, beats a bite in the neck.

Little Ashes opens in late March.

Robert Pattinson: I’m Not Attractive

Robert Pattinson says it is difficult for him to believe that his female fans find him so attractive. The ‘Twilight’ actor says he has never considered himself good looking and wishes he could fix his appearance.

“I never really considered myself attractive. I was always kind of gangly in school,” he says. “Before I go out to face a crowd, I stare and stare at myself in the mirror until I have to tell myself to stop staring, since there’s nothing I can do.”

Meanwhile, Pattinson, who recently admitted that his celebrity crush is his co-star Kristen Stewart, is set to reprise his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

Robert Pattinson Found!

R-Patz thought he could escape the Twilight fervor by lopping off his luxurious locks and laying low in London.

But, one of our Perezcious readers (Isabella) found him (at a random pub)!

And thank goodness too!

We’d been hurting for our Rob fix!

ROB PATTINSON - PATTINSON PERFORMS MINI SET

Actor ROBERT PATTINSON thrilled fans by taking to the stage to perform at an open microphone night in London.
The Twilight star has frequently mentioned his love for music, insisting it is a career backup plan should his film roles dry up.
And it seems Pattinson, who also sang on the vampire movie's soundtrack, was serious about the pledge - he was recently spotted onstage in a Soho pub in the U.K.'s capital.
The hunk sat on a bar stool strumming a guitar - and he impressed the audience by singing two songs which "silenced the room", according to PerezHilton.com.

In a post on her website, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer confirms that Taylor Lautner will reprise his role as Jacob in the hit vampire romance's sequel, New Moon. As EW first reported last night, this news ends months of curiosity about whether Lautner would return. The full text of the announcement, which includes a statement from New Moon director Chris Weitz, is after the jump and at StephenieMeyer.com.

Good news about New Moon from director Chris Weitz:

I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.

The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

very best

Chris Weitz

I'd just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon—what was going to give us the best possible movie. I'm truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he's going to bring to Jacob's character this year.

Robert Pattinson Drops Independent Film To Work On 'Twilight' Sequel

Wednesday 07th Jan 2009
...more Robert Pattinson »
Robert Pattinson has dropped out of starring in an independent film to work on the Twilight sequel New Moon later this year.

The actor - whose role in the franchise has catapulted him to superstar status - is unable to begin work on Parts Per Billion produced by actress/producer Rosario Dawson.

Instead, he will focus on reprising his role in the vampire flick sequel - which bosses have reportedly sugar-coated with a multi-million dollar contract.

Rob's rep tells MTV.com, "Unfortunately, the prep time and production schedule on New Moon haven't left enough time for Robert to work on Parts Per Billion in the first quarter of this year."

Twilight is a romantic sci-fi drama which sees an anti-blood drinking vampire (Robert) fall for a human girl played by Kristen Stewart.
