Robert Pattinson & Hugh Jackman Karaoke in Tokyo

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Robert Pattinson was a first-time Oscar presenter on Sunday. Hugh Jackman was a first-time host.

So, how'd the two first-timers celebrate?

Maybe with a little karaoke.

I just got word that Pattinson and Jackman engaged in some karaoke crooning together this week at a bar in Tokyo.

The two have been in Japan on business. Pattison touched down on Tuesday to promote Twilight while Jackman and Nicole Kidman attended last night's premiere of Australia.

Says a source, "They went after doing press for their films."

Details are still trickling in, but I'm told Australia director Baz Luhrmann joined them, too.

The Robert Pattinson Album

Robert Pattinson is "amazed" he has become a pin-up.

The actor says he is stunned by the amount of female attention he has received since starring as vampire Edward Cullen in 'Twilight' and is perplexed at the number of scripts he has been sent from directors hoping to cast him in a 'heartthrob' role.

He said: "I'm so surprised it's worked out that way. I was just thinking the whole time that I've never had the personality to fit into [being a sex symbol]. I'm not really afraid of it, because I don't even know how to play up that aspect.

"I don't know if I could ever be cast in a heartthrob role except for 'Twilight,' and I didn't even know that was a heartthrob role."

Paris Hilton gets claws into Robert Pattinson at Oscars party

Forget finding a British Best Friend, it looked to us as if all Paris Hilton wants is a British boyfriend.

The 27-year-old stunned the guests at a lavish Oscars do by dragging gorgeous Twilight actor Robert Pattinson, 22, outside to the garden for, er, private time.
We watched aghast as the likes of the Olsen twins and Paris's ex Benji Madden stood open-mouthed at her antics.Guests at the Patrick Whitesell's bash in the Hollywood Hills saw Paris go into overdrive trying to snare her man.

It became the talk of the party as we got a flirting masterclass from the hotel heiress.

She started off by dragging her little sister Nicky around the mansion hunting for her prey and when she found the Brit star she wasn't going to let him go.

They were giggling and in deep conversation for an hour before she led him to the garden for some privacy.

Unfortunately for her Robert left at 4.30am to fly to Japan. Lucky escape, mate...

The Best (and Worst) Dressed Men at the 2009 Oscars

The "Well Played, Young Man" Award: Robert Pattinson
With the success of Twilight, it would have been easy for Robert Pattinson to show up with some bullshit "I'm a dreamboat, I don't want to dress up" slacker nonsense. Instead, he followed all of the rules, opting for a sensible bow tie, a peaked lapel jacket, and just enough scruff to make a fourteen-year-old's heart flutter. Source

Why Oscar Might Want to Reward Robert Pattinson

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Why are Robert Pattinson and Zac Efron owed tips from Oscar organizers? Why is Chris Rock owed an apology from the Oscar press? And when the heck is Nielsen going to start folding in Web and mobile-phone use—and start saving your favorite endangered show?

The answers—and more questions—in this week's TV ratings pop quiz:

1. Did Pattinson and Efron really save the Oscars? Fans of Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Kate Winslet, among others, say, "Are you outta your mind?" The numbers, however, suggest the two tween gods sure didn't hurt. The show's ratings among teens 12-17 and kids 2-11 zoomed, up 25 percent and 33 percent, respectively, from last year, ABC said, citing Nielsen stats.

What's In Store For Robert Pattinson's Post-'Twilight' Future?

'I'm not looking specifically at any genre,' star says of his script selection.
By Larry Carroll, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

HOLLYWOOD— There was a time when it seemed like Paul Walker was the next big thing — before he gave us "Timeline," "Into the Blue" and "Running Scared." Remember when Jon Heder seemed like the biggest star in the world, right before "Just like Heaven," "School for Scoundrels" and "Mama's Boy"? And then there was that Matt Damon guy, another overnight sensation who then went and made a bunch of "Bourne" and "Ocean's" movies.

OK, so things worked out for that last guy. The point is that when you're hot and new in Hollywood, you not only have to act fast — you have to act in good movies. And right now, there's nobody hotter than "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson. So, what's he going to do next?

"I don't know," the newly christened A-lister said to MTV when we asked him if he was trying to "get" anything out of his recent Oscars attendance — be it more recognition, new celebrity friends or even a job offer. "I don't know what to get out of it."

The refreshing thing about RPattz is that he's exactly as the Twilighters like him: honest, self-deprecating and unceasingly handsome. The bad news for his millions of fans, however, is that he pulled out of the film he was supposed to be making right now — and with the news that "Twilight" sequels have him booked through at least late 2010, they have to wonder: Is he waiting too long to make a non-"Twilight" film?

"I haven't worked since the end of 'Twilight,' I've just been doing promotion stuff," Pattinson explained to us on the red carpet at the Oscars.

"But I have a gap in between, so I might do something in there, maybe," he revealed of a small window between "New Moon" and "Eclipse" that could have him filming something new in late 2009. "I'm just relieved that I can kind of do anything [different]."

Of course, Twilighters can look forward to the May 8 release of "Little Ashes," the long-awaited Salvador Dalí biopic he filmed before "Twilight" gave him fame. But as for his pivotal first post-Edward Cullen choice — the one that could determine if he becomes a Mark Hamill or a Harrison Ford — Pattinson said he isn't sure which Hollywood script he'll select.

"I don't know, just scripts randomly appeal to me," he explained of his role-selection process. "I'm not looking specifically at any genre."

Since "Twilight" made him an overnight star, Pattinson has been flooded with hot Hollywood scripts — but, he insisted, there isn't any common element that he is looking for in them. "There're a few things," he said. "And they are all completely different, so I don't know."

Pattinson is surprised, however, by how many "heartthrob" scripts are being sent his way. No matter how many women pledge their allegiance to his dreamy eyes and unwieldy hair, the English actor insists that he just can't think of himself as a beefcake.

"I'm so surprised it's worked out [that way]," he said of his status as a sex symbol. "I was just thinking the whole time that I've never had the personality to fit into that. I'm not really afraid of it, because I don't even know how to play up that aspect."

Still, Pattinson insisted, whenever he does select his first post-"Twilight" role, it likely won't be a traditional Romeo. "I don't know if I could ever be cast in a heartthrob role except for 'Twilight,' " he insisted. "And I didn't even know that was a heartthrob role."

Robert Pattinson's Eclipse date

Photobucket\
Robert Pattinson will be really busy next year.

Film bosses have revealed that Eclipse will be released on June 30th 2010.
It doesn't look like Rob will have a spare minute to himself - as the filming for New Moon and Eclipse is going to be back to back.

Kristen Stewart will be even busier than Rob as she has a lot more lines to learn for New Moon.

She is going to have to put everything on hold whilst she concentrates on being Bella Swan.

Twilight fans have high expectations for New Moon and Eclipse so Rob and Kristen will have to work really hard.

They can't afford to let their fans down.

Robert Pattinson Touches Down in Tokyo

Following an overseas flight out of Los Angeles after the Oscars, Robert Pattinson has officially touched down in Tokyo, Japan.

The “Twilight” hunk arrived at Narita International Airport earlier today (February 24), greeted by a horde of screaming fans toting their “Twilight” memorabilia.
Rob is the the Land of the Rising Sun ahead of the Japan premiere of “Twilight” this Friday (February 27), during which time he’ll reportedly be joined by co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

Meanwhile, at the Academy Awards on Sunday night, Rob talked about how overwhelming his rise to fame has been, telling, “It’s insane. This is the weirdest. When [the Academy] first told us about [my invitation to present an award], I was like, ‘No, no, no. You’re joking!’ [I thought] I was going to have to do something really stupid, like get gunged [slimed]!”

Talking about"New Moon,” Pattinson adds, “I think there’s going to be some continuity. But it’s weird, because they are shooting it in a different city [than the first film]. I’ve talked to [Weitz] a bit, but we’ve only talked about my character; I haven’t really talked about the whole look of it. But Chris is great with visual stuff, so it should be pretty impressive.”

red carpets and plastered his face on the cover of seemingly every magazine except Guns & Ammo. It wasn't until Sunday night, however, that he officially felt like a movie star.

"It's insane," the "Twilight" star grinned, standing on the red carpet while Brangelina went past him. "This is the weirdest. When [the Academy] first told us about [my invitation to present an award], I was like, 'No, no, no. You're joking!' [I thought] I was going to have to do something really stupid, like get gunged [slimed]!"

Fear not, RPattz — the Oscars were not planning to have you slimed, gunged or Punk'd in any way. Instead, he appeared on stage alongside "Mamma Mia!" star Amanda Seyfried to present a montage of great love scenes from the year in film. And while on the carpet, Pattinson said he couldn't wait to get on to the "New Moon" set and start making some new love scenes of his own.

"I think there's going to be some continuity," Pattinson said of the sequel, which will begin filming with new director Chris Weitz next month. "But it's weird, because they are shooting it in a different city [than the first film]. I've talked to [Weitz] a bit, but we've only talked about my character; I haven't really talked about the whole look of it. But Chris is great with visual stuff, so it should be pretty impressive."

But don't think Rob is all sugar and spice and everything nice — asked which "New Moon" scene he's most eager to shoot, Pattinson said he can't wait to dump Kristen Stewart's Bella. "The scene where we temporarily break up," he revealed. "On one hand, it's completely impossible. And on the other, it sets a very different tone to the series. I think it will be good."

It's a good thing that RPattz is so eager to slip back into the peacoat and colored contacts of love-struck vampire Edward Cullen. Because, unbeknownst to us, we were about to break some big news to him that would basically force the actor to clear his schedule from now until late 2010.

"I didn't even know that!" Rob marveled when we told him that "Eclipse" had recently snagged itself a release date a mere seven months after that of "New Moon."

"Yep, and 'Breaking Dawn' is going to be at some point as well," he added, knowing that he'll be playing Edward well into his mid-20s. "Yeah, I'm gonna be Twilighted out by the end of the year."

EXCLUSIVE: 'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson confirmed for Oscars

After being the first outlet to report that M.I.A. had delivered her baby and would not be performing at this year's 81st Academy Awards, HitFix can now exclusively confirm that Robert Pattinson will be presenting an award during this year's telecast.

The "Twilight" star had long been rumored to appear on Hollywood's biggest night, but barring any unforeseen last minute conflicts, he'll be giving the franchise's legion of fans something to look forward to on Oscar Sunday.

Still unclear is whether Pattinson's "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart will also appear on the telecast and what award he will specifically present. And, obviously, speculation will now run rampant on who Pattinson's date down the red carpet will be.

Pattinson rose to super-stardom after being chose to play the dreamy vampire Edward Cullen in "Twilight." The first in a series of big screen adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's popular book series, "Twilight" astounded the industry by raking in $188 million domestically and $357 million worldwide.

The 22-year-old Brit will appear later this spring as Salvador Dali in the indie drama "Little Ashes." He's expected to begin production next month on the "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon" which will be released Nov. 20

No. 1 reason to watch the Oscars? Robert Pattinson!

Need a reason to watch the Oscars Sunday night?

At least TiVo the show so you can fast forward to the exciting (cue the ear-piercing screams!!!!) moment when "Twilight" hottie Robert Pattinson steps onstage to present an award.

It's been widely rumored that Pattinson will show up for Hollywood's most star-studded evening, and now HitFix.com is confirming the rumor.

No word on whether his "Twilight" costar Kristen Stewart will also appear. Or what award he will present. But who cares?

Wild speculation now is focused on who Pattinson's date will be.

We're betting he flies solo.

Pattinson shot to stardom after playing the young man of millions of teenage girls' dreams, vampire Edward Cullen in "Twilight," the first in a series of films based on Stephenie Meyer's popular "Twilight" book series.

He's expected to begin production in March on the "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon," due in theaters Nov. 2.

Finally, an Oscar red carpet that will interest teenage girls!
